Electrical services across Mandurah and Peel

Mandurah electrical work isn't one-size-fits-all. A canal home in Halls Head has different headaches to an older place in Falcon or a small shop in Mandurah proper. I handle the full spread — safety work, upgrades, breakdowns, outdoor wiring, commercial jobs and the fiddly faults that waste half a day if you start guessing.

RCDs and Safety Switches

Safety switch keeps tripping? Won't reset? Old board with half the house hanging off one circuit?

I replace faulty RCDs, add new safety switches where the board is behind the times, and sort nuisance tripping without playing the old swap-parts-till-it-stops game. A lot of homes around Falcon, Silver Sands and Coodanup were built before modern loads became normal, so once you add a new oven, a couple of split systems and an outdoor fridge, weak points show up fast.

Smoke Alarms

Selling, renting, renovating, or just sick of that chirping smoke alarm at 2am?

I install and replace hard-wired smoke alarms across Mandurah, Halls Head and Dawesville, including interlinked setups where the home needs bringing up to current expectations. Older rentals and long-held family homes around Erskine and Falcon often need a proper tidy-up here. Not just a battery swap and hope for the best.

Lighting and Downlights

Bad lighting makes a house feel tired fast.

I handle LED upgrades, downlights, feature lighting, patio lights, sensor lights and general lighting repairs. In Mandurah that often means outdoor entertaining areas, alfresco ceilings, walkways and side access lighting that has to cope with weather and salt, especially around Halls Head, Wannanup and near the estuary. Clean layout, sensible switching, no nightclub nonsense unless you ask for it.

Power Points

Never enough power points. Somehow every house ends up with extension leads where they shouldn't be.

I install extra GPOs in kitchens, bedrooms, studies, garages and patios, plus weatherproof outdoor outlets for entertaining areas, pumps and general backyard use. Canal homes around Dudley Park and Wannanup often need power taken to better positions near the water, while older homes in Silver Sands and Coodanup usually just need more outlets in the spots people actually live now.

Switchboard Upgrades

If the board looks like a museum piece, it's probably time.

I upgrade old switchboards, replace worn breakers, separate circuits properly and get things ready for modern loads like induction cooking, ducted air con, EV chargers and outdoor gear. This is one of the big Mandurah jobs because plenty of houses were never designed for the amount of electrical gear people run today. I see it all the time in Falcon, Erskine and Pinjarra — the board isn't dangerous because it's old, it's dangerous because it's old and overloaded.

Fault Finding

Power out in one room? Something smells hot? Lights flickering for no obvious reason? Circuit trips only when one thing turns on?

That's fault finding. Proper fault finding, not blind guessing.

I trace the problem, test the circuit, isolate the cause and explain what's actually failed. In Mandurah and along the coast that can mean moisture getting where it shouldn't, corrosion in outdoor fittings, tired breakers, bad joins in roof spaces, or damage around old patio additions. If it's in Halls Head, Dawesville or Falcon and close to weather, I check the outside gear hard first.

Emergency Electrical

When it's urgent, it's urgent.

If you've got burning smells, no power, water near live gear, a dead circuit feeding something important, or a board that's decided tonight is the night to fall apart, call me. I cover Mandurah and the nearby Peel run for genuine emergencies. No "leave a message and maybe Monday" rubbish. If I can get you safe and get the problem contained, I will.

Solar inverter and isolator switch installation

Solar-Related Electrical Work

Got solar already and need the electrical side sorted around it?

I handle solar-related switchboard upgrades, isolator replacements, fault investigation, inverter supply issues, and general electrical work around homes with solar systems. A lot of Mandurah homes added solar years ago, then later added air con, pool gear or an EV without checking whether the rest of the board still made sense. That's how odd faults start. I sort the house side properly.

EV Charger Installation

Bought an EV and now you're eyeing off the garage wall wondering whether the board can cope?

I install EV chargers in Mandurah, Meadow Springs, Halls Head, Falcon and the surrounding suburbs, including Tesla wall chargers and universal Type 2 units. I check cable run, breaker capacity, board condition and whether your current setup is actually ready for it. Some newer homes are easy. Some older Mandurah stock needs a board upgrade first. Better to know before the charger arrives than after.

Commercial Electrical

I also handle small commercial electrical work across Mandurah and the Peel area.

Shops, offices, workshops, hospitality venues, small strata jobs, tenancy maintenance, lighting upgrades, test-and-repair work, and power alterations all fall into the mix. The job might be in central Mandurah, along the foreshore, or out toward Pinjarra. Different jobs, same approach — turn up, work clean, explain things clearly, and don't make a business lose a day because someone couldn't organise themselves.

CCTV and Security Cabling

CCTV is already pulling weight on this domain, so it stays in the mix properly.

I install CCTV cabling, camera power, data points for camera systems, intercom cabling and tidy power supplies for security gear across Mandurah, Halls Head and Erskine. For a lot of homes this means covering the driveway, side access, boat area or backyard without cables looking like an afterthought. For small business jobs in Mandurah, it's usually entry points, counter areas and external coverage.

Also handled

I also handle TV antenna installs, data cabling, and Starlink— the family business has dedicated specialists for each. If it's just cabling as part of an electrical job I'll sort it on the spot. Dedicated antenna, data, or Starlink enquiries route to our specialist crew so the right bloke does the right job.
